Today my Nana (June) made corn fritters for lunch and the great thing is corn fritters are one of my favorite foods. They were very delicious and I think it's a great thing to make in lockdown and you can use any flour. Here's the recipe and pictures below.
Ingredients
5oz. of flour (or GF flour)
3 teaspoons of baking powder (if you are making GF then check ingredients)
1/2 teaspoon of salt (add pepper if wanted0
1/2 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of melted butter
1 egg slightly beaten
Instructions
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Combine liquid ingredients and stir into dry ingredients until the flour is dampened.
Fry in butter or oil until brown.
Serve with sauce of your choice.
Enjoy

DeleteHi Cass,
ReplyDeleteYour corn fritters look delicious,I might have to buy a tin of corn when I venture out to the supermarket again. Corn fritters would be great on a cold day like today. I think I would choose sweet chilli sauce to go with mine.
You read my mind Cass! I have been thinking about corn fritters too, and my recipe is GF as well. My favourite flour to use is chickpea flour which is delicious in curry zucchini fritters too!
