Athletics Day

Athletics day

Hi everyone

Yesterday was athletics day we did lots of sprints and long-distance running. There were two races and if you came first or second you raced again against all the year 4s who came in thought places. My friends Libby and may races against all for the year 4 girls.

I came third two times and I was very proud of my self because I just had pneumonia and I was slower than normal.

After that we had lunch. Then we did fun activities.

Bruce potter

 I was very excited I had just heard an author was
coming to our school his name was Bruce Potter,
when he came I was excited out of my mind cause
I love drawing and I think it is very cool to meet
the illustrator when he came he showed us some of his books
they were amazing then he showed us one other book
of his called doddle bug so after this Bruce potter said
who wants me to draw a doodle so some kids at our
school put their hands up when bruce potter picked
they and they told him what they wanted him to draw
then he started drawing all the things they said misted
together and when he finished it look amazing then
Mr. Milne told us to do our own  doodles.

My speech

Last week we did our speeches and this is my speech it took a long time to make and was hard. then I took my speech to school I was very nervous when I got to school I heard Mr. Milne call my name I was very scared then I stood up in front of the class my hands were shaking but I had to be brave and face my fears and after I was happy and proud of my self.

 hello today we made portraits of our selves first I took a picture of my selves then I put the headband on the picture of my face. After that I put the shap of an oval on my real face then I use a polyline to make my hair .then I use four ovals my eyes and a moon to make the mouth I enjoy making funny faces .next time I could remove the background.

We are learning how to create animations using Google slides. I enjoyed making it and thinking about what I could do It was challenging too put all the backgrounds on the slides because I forgot to change it at the start, Next time I will make it look more advanced and more detail.

school science fair

Hi , Libby and me did this science fair project together. It was really fun. we did it on does cats purring slow your hart rate? We found out that they said it felt like it slowed there hart rate but it didn`t showed up on the oximeter.

waka building

   

 Our class made waka it was really fun. We were told to partner up. Me and Libby partnered  up. First we made a frame for the waka and then we started tying  more sticks on but we didn`t use string we made it with flax and sticks. It took a long time but in the end we finished it. Now we are making stop go animation and it is really fun as well! By Cass

Why are there so many of us needing a home?

Hello I'm Cass.

WOW I can't believe it. 10 weeks went so fast. All ready its the end of term 2 that means its the SCIENCE FAIR! Our teacher said we could do posters as well as a project.I had my idea straight away. I got the idea from a movie I watched about dogs. I decided to call it don`t buy from breeders.  We went on to piktochart and wrote our problem and solution i wrote so much problem i had no roam for solution i had to make my writing smaller to fit it in.
