Beach fun with ponies

Hi everyone
this is my post about the beach with the ponies. Yesterday I when to the beach with my riding teacher Ashleigh. I was looking forwards to this all day we had left the A&P show grounds at 12:40 AM and got to the beach at about 1:00ish. My Nana and Poppa were coming to watch me ride and take some photos. Ashleigh had brought her a very good camera so my nana was on camera duty. We got all the horses tacked up and led them down to the sand. I was going to ride  Ashleighs horse P.J aka pajamas and his show name is Bananas in pajamas he
is 14.3 hh and is 8 I am riding in the Amanda Wilson clinic.
Ashleigh was riding Whiskey his show name is  -AJE on the rocks-  he is 15hh and is 3 turning 4 in November. I led P.J up to a log and hoped on. We got a feel for the horses on sand (because whiskey didn't like sinking in it) and then we went for a walk down the beach. We walked and trotted down the beach and then trotted back but P.J broke into a canter so we went for a fast canter back to my nana and poppa. It was awesome we then walked the other way but didn't trot back because the sand was too dry and the horses could sink and break their legs so we
walked back. Well, we walked back whiskey kept trying to roll we got back to nana and poppa again and Ashleigh let him roll while P.J  stood staring at him. I then when back down the beach and cantered back. I trotted him around a bit and then we went and looked at the photos. Then whiskey tried to get away and since Ashleigh was sitting down when he pulled away she let go and he tried to get back to the float while Ashleigh walked after him P.J kept trying to follow him so I made him turn in circles. We then made our way back up to the float I rode up and everyone else walked. We unsaddled them and let them eat after
a while we loaded them into the float and drove back to the paddocks. It was soooooo fun. Thanks, Ashleigh

  1. Oh Cass , what an amazing afternoon this must have been!! I love the pictures ; you have such beautiful posture that you look like a 'natural' rider.
